Camping Options

The area offers a number of camping options for our participants.  Here are just some:

IROC, 400 Quarry Road, Derby, VT 802-334-8511  Pitch your tent on the grassy areas at the facility, or park your camper in our parking lots.  We’ll keep the restrooms and showers at the facility open 24 hours a day during the event.  Reservations are helpful, but not necessary.  We’ve got plenty of room.  We should say, however, it’s not a “scenic” camping experience.  But it is convenient.  Recommended donation: $5 per person per night.

Memphremagog Ski Touring Foundation, Darling Hill Road, Derby, Vermont.  Ellie and Bob Primeau have offered up their land for camping.  There are some nice spots in the woods near Lake Memphremagog.  This camping option is only open after July 15th, so it won’t work for some of our participants in May and June..  You can e-mail Ellie and Bob for reservations at elliebobp@gmail.com Recommended Donation $5 per night per person.

Prouty Beach, Newport, VT offers a full range of hooks ups, restrooms, and showers, right on the shores of Lake Memphremagog.  Prices vary. 802-334-7951

Char Bo Campgrounds, 347 Hayward Hollow Road, Derby, VT is a great campsite located on the shores of Lake Salem.  Electrical and water hookups and Wi-fi are available at the site.  For more information: ctwillis@comcast.net
