Lake Seymour Swim – Saturday, August 4, 2012
The Northeast Kingdom Open Water Swimming Association and IROC are pleased to be able to offer this 3.5 mile swim on Lake Seymour in Morgan, Vermont. Lake Seymour is one the Seven Crown Jewels of the Northeast Kingdom which include Lake Memphremagog, Lake Willoughby, Island Pond, Caspian Lake, Lake Eligo, and Crystal Lake. The course is a double loop of 1.75 miles each and is run in conjunction with Kingdom Triathlon’s radically new, Aquaman, Even-Up Tri. www.kingdomtriathlon.org For those of you who just want to enjoy a great swim, in one of the cleanest bodies of water in all of North America, you can register here. Space is limited to 50 individual swimmers in addition to the triathlon participants.
Wet suit and non wet suits are welcome. We invite our swimmers to bring a spotter/kayaker with them to help watch and guide the participants. Fee is $125 if you bring a kayaker to help out. $175 if you don’t. Half of all fees go directly as a donation to support IROC’s Healthy Changes Initiative.
Each swimmer must qualify to enter this swim and will need to submit their open water swimming experience for review and approval.
